Mutations is a multi-venue festival taking place in central Brighton, England between 2nd and 5th November 2023 that will see 100+ of the worlds most innovative and inspiring acts perform across 4 incredible days and 9 of Brighton’s most treasured independent grassroots venues.

I’ve been to indoor city festivals before and spent the majority of my time queuing to get in and feeling disappointed, will that be the same here?

No not at all. We’re passionate about making sure that our customers have a great experience at Mutations Festival. We limit the sellable capacity of our festival to that of the operating venues so as to minimise queuing time at venues and make sure you can catch more of the action throughout the whole day.

Do I need a separate ticket for each venue?

No. You can purchase either single day tickets which will provide access to all venues and shows on that day, or a weekend ticket which will provide access to all venues and shows over the full weekend of Thursday / Friday / Saturday / Sunday.

Is there an age restriction at Mutations Festival 2023?

While some venues within Mutations Festival 2023 carry licences that allow for under 18 not all of them do, therefore the age restriction of the festival is set at 18+ each day.

What time does the Festival start and end each day?

Box Office, Doors and Curfew times for Mutations Festival 2023 are:

Thursday - Box Office opens 3pm / Doors open 4pm / Finish 11pm

Friday - Box Office opens 2pm / Doors 3pm / Finish 11pm / Afterparty 11pm to 2am

Saturday - Box Office opens 11:30am / Doors 12:15pm / Finish 11pm / Afterparty 11pm to 2am

Sunday - Box Office opens 12pm / Doors 1pm / Finish 11pm

Where are the Official Afterparties taking place and do I need a separate ticket?

For Mutations Festival 2023 the Official Afterparties are both at the Hope and Ruin on Friday and Saturday between 11pm and 2am.

You do not need a separate ticket to attend, all day tickets for that day as well as weekend tickets will be valid to gain entry to the Afterparty.

Please note that the capacity of the Afterparty is just 150 so please do arrive early to avoid disappointment.

There is also an afterparty on Friday and Saturday between 11pm and 4am at Dust where DJs will be playing the best indie bangers all night long. Entry is free to all day and weekend wristband holders.

Where is Wristband Exchange and what time does it open?

As previous years, Wristband Exchange is located at the East Street entrance to the Chalk venue. There will be Mutations Festival barriers outside leading the way.

Wristband Exchange will be open during the following hours:

Thursday - 3:00pm to 10:00pm

Friday - 2:00pm to 10:00pm

Saturday - 11:30am to 10:00pm

Sunday - 12:00pm to 10:00pm

How do I get to Brighton, England?

Brighton is located on the South Coast of England, just 50 miles due south of London.

Brighton is well connected to London and the surrounding coastal towns with trains running regularly and taking less than 60 minutes to central London.

The nearest international airport is Gatwick which is approximately 30 minutes by train or car.

What is the accessibility like at Mutations Festival 2023?

While we wish for Mutations Festival 2023 to be fully accessible to all, unfortunately some of the venues being used cannot provide full access.

Are there any Covid-19 requirements of entry at Mutations Festival 2022?

We would like to advise all customers that in-line with the governments guidance Mutations Festival 2023 will be operating at full standing capacity with no designated social distancing measures.

Presently no testing is needed as a requirement of entry to Mutations Festival 2023.

Face coverings are a personal preference, please respect each others choices even if they don’t align with your own.

Not everyone feels the same in crowded environments, if those around need a little more space please respect this.
